Ivanhoe
Ivanhoe is a new piece for orchestra written in 2021 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Sir Walter Scott, and based upon one of his best loved historical novels.
The work depicts scenes from the tale of medieval chivalry; jousting, warfare, pageantry as well as moments of intimacy and merrymaking.
Scored for full orchestra including harp and a battery of percussion it allows each section of the orchestra to shine, and provides twenty minutes of fun for players and audience alike.
